The subscription box review bonanza continues! Today I’m sharing my July 2015 Glossybox, and I have to say I’m pretty pleased with this box. I got a great mix of makeup, skincare, and haircare products and I’m 100% sure I’m going to be putting each item to good use this summer.
The first item in my box was the Novex Brazilian Keratin Extra Deep Hair Care Cream. At first sight I was confused about what this was since the packaging looks more like health supplements than a hair product, but once I realized what this was I was pretty stoked. I haven’t had a chance to use this yet but I’ve heard amazing things about Brazilian keratin so I am excited to see if it really will make my hair soft and frizz-free. The application seems a bit odd to me, since you have to wash your hair, let it get almost dry, apply it, wait three minutes, and then wash it out. It seems like a bit of work so I’m going to have to try it on a weekend but if the results really are what the product promises, this might just become my new favorite hair product!
The next item in my box was Face Stockholm’s lip liner in the color Mimi. This liner pencil is a deep brown, which I’m not particularly excited about, though I am really impressed with the formumla. It applies really smoothly and it’s exceptionally creamy. I also like how long-lasting it is! Even though I’m not a huge fan of the color, there are 24 other colors in the collection and I will definitely be buying some more in a color closer to the ones I regularly use.
Next up is a product I am super excited to have…the Hey Honey I Peel Good creamy honey peel cream. I’ve tried a couple Hey Honey products before and I’ve been extremely impressed so far, especially with their Take it Off exfoliating peel mask. I’m a huge fan of the company both for their organization’s beliefs (no animal testing, and they have a fund where they donate 100% of the profits of certain products to charities that empower women across America), and for the quality of their products. This specific product smells heavenly – like warm honey – and made my face incredibly soft. My only negative comment is how small the sample size was (0.5 oz). Since it won’t actually go on sale until July 31 I am going to have to use it sparingly until I can order the full-size version.
The second to last item in my box also comes from a company I am seriously digging this year, Kueshi. Kueshi is a Spanish brand that has been featured before in Glossbox and seems to be making quite the splash in the United States. Like all of their other products I’ve tried, this smells phenomenal. In fact, it smells so good that even if it didn’t prevent and diminish the appearance of cellulite (I’m skeptical about the whole prevention bit), I would still use this as a body lotion.
The last item in my box was a Naked Lips lip balm in peppermint. I had never heard of this brand before but I am pretty pleased with it. It’s a 99% organic and 100% natural balm made with sunflower oil, beesewax, and coconut oil. I love how minty this is even after a couple hours after application. I will be throwing this in my purse to keep my lips hydrated and minty this summer.
Between my Birchbox, Ipsy, and Glossybox I think I am going to have to say my Glossybox was my favorite this month. I can’t wait to buy the I Peel Good once it becomes available!
