My three day subscription box reveal continues and today I’m sharing my July 2015 Ipsy. Unfortunately, I can’t say I was too impressed with this month. I don’t know why but even though I’ve never had the same product twice, I’ve found that so much of their stuff is redundant. While I like that they include more makeup than Birchbox, it seems like a lot of their stuff isn’t necessarily the latest and greatest, but more like a mix of average products meant to grow your collection.

And here is what I got in my box! Though I didn’t necessarily like the individual products, I was happy with the variety of goodies. In my box I received:

Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color in the shade Gilt
I had never heard of this brand before but I’m actually pretty impressed with this product! Since its so hot in Texas right now I’m always on the lookout for products that won’t melt off my face after making contact with the 100+ degrees here. I also really like that it comes with its own sharpener.

Be a Bombshell Lipbalm in the shade French Kiss
I don’t really like be a bombshell. Their products aren’t anything to write home about and on top of that they smell super gross, especially their Lash Out Mascara. Regardless I tried this on. It had zero color, was gone after about 20 minutes, and didn’t even have a nice flavor. Hard pass.
Coolway Beach Salt Sprapy
This sea salt spray is meant to give you big beachy waves with added dead sea salts to nourish hair. I haven’t had a chance to try this yet but I’ve read some great reviews so I’m looking forward to checking this out.
Pur-Lisse Brightening Serum
This was the biggest snooze-fest of an item for me. I don’t know what it is with brightening serums. I’ve used tons of different ones from plenty of brands and I’ve never really noticed a difference in my skin with any of them. Maybe my skin is already bright. Maybe none of them work. I don’t know. I just know I don’t really dig this.

Aurora Gel Effects Nail Polish in the shade 4 Alarm Fire
This product is supposed to combine the durability of gel nails with the ease of application of regular polish. I don’t know how I feel about this just yet. On the one hand its extremely bright (but I guess that could also be a negative thing) and it comes off very easily. On the other, the formula is a little thicker than I prefer so it takes longer to dry. If you don’t mind waiting a little longer for your nails to dry and are looking for a fire engine red then this is the polish for you.
