June is almost over so today I’m showing some love to the products I’ve been using over and over again this month. It’s been a pretty crappy June here in Dallas; we’ve had lots of rain and it’s starting to get really hot so this month has been all about natural, low-maintenance looks.
My beauty favorites for June are:
EOS Sweet Mint Smooth Sphere Lip Balm – $3.29
This is the first product I wear when I wake up in the morning and the last one I apply when I go to sleep. Its refreshing, long-lasting, and very moisturizing. I’m also pretty certain this product lasts forever. I’ve used this every day for months and I haven’t even made a dent in it. Absolutely worth the $3.29 price tag.
IT Cosmetics N.211 All Over Powder Brush -$40
I got this brush last month during my IT Cosmetics dinner event and we’ve been pretty much inseparable ever since. This brush is SO crazy fluffy and even though it’s too big to fit in my brush holder because its almost a foot long, I forgive it because of how soft it is. I’ve used it every day since I got it and not a single bristle has come out of place – thats how great this brush is. This is one of the IT Cosmetics brushes made exclusively for ULTA so if you’re looking to buy one skip QVC and just head directly to UTLA.
Pixi Beauty Bronzer in the shade Summertime – $18
This bronzer was in my ipsy some time ago but I lost it between some couch cushions without trying it so I missed out some valuable weeks of beautifully bronze skin. Even though this looks pretty dark the product builds really well and doesn’t have that those orange colored undertones that you generally see with drugstore bronzers. My favorite part though is that it’s shimmery without looking sparkly so it gives this great multi-dimentional glow without looking like you just took a bath in glitter.
Anastasia Clear Brow Gel – $22
My obsession with eyebrows has continued well into June and I’ve been using this each day to lock in my brows’. I’ve used eyebrow gels before, but I particularly like this one because it holds my eyebrows into place without giving them that flat, two-dimentional look. The gel is also clear, which I like, because it doesn’t mess with the color I’ve already used to fill them in.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse in the shade Taupe – $29
I bought this a few weeks ago and I’m really digging how it looks! I had been using Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in the shade Medium Brown and I realized it’s just a touch too dark and makes my eyebrows seem much bolder than I want them to. I really like how this mousse works because it builds really well on itself and blends like a dream. It also has the added bonus of coming with a really great angled brush.
Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil – $18
The product that is so nice, I bought it twice. I’m in love with this pencil because it serves different purposes depending on my skin tone. When its winter time and I’m as white as a sheet of paper, I use this as a concealer pencil, which is fabulous when I need some quick concealer and don’t want to bust out a whole pot of concealer and a brush. In the summer, when I get this a little darker, I use this as a cream highlighter and apply it to the top of my cheeks, down the bridge of my nose, and on my cupids bow.
Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Top Coat – $5.99
I have a really bad habit of painting my nails at inopportune times like while I’m rushing to get to work in the morning or right before I take a shower. I’m also cursed with being the most impatient person in the world. That’s not a good combo for my nails. This top coat has revolutionized my nail care because it takes exactly 30 seconds to go from goopy nail mess to dry and hard as nails – and that’s exactly how much time I’m willing to wait for my nails to dry.
And here are swatches! The first (on the left) is the Chella Highlighter, the middle is 3 swipes of the bronzer, and the last swatch is the Tarte Brow Mousse.
