Spotlight: Dallas DogRRR

Dallas DogRRR

Hey everyone! As you probably have heard on the news, Dallas has had a pretty rainy spring this year (to say the least). We’ve had very rain almost every day and my phone will go off usually twice a day to warn me that we’re in a flash flood warning. According to the National Weather Service, in the month of May alone we’ve received 16 inches of rain, the equivalent of 35 trillion gallons.

The city has really come together during this time and shelters have opened across town for those affected by the flooding. This weather has been particularly challenging on all the stray animals that call Dallas home since they can’t exactly escape the floods.

So, today I wanted to share a phenomenal charity that is working extremely hard to help stray dogs around Dallas find foster and forever homes, Dallas DogRRR! Dallas DogRRR “helps collect supplies, pay vet bills, locate foster families, and facilitates adoptions for forgotten dogs”.

The charity has zero administrative fees and every single person who works for them is a volunteer, so when you donate you know that every single cent you give will go directly to helping adorable dogs across town get a good meal, some cuddles, and even a forever home!

They will be having two adoption events in June so be sure to check them out. The dates are:

June 6th
Location – Hollywood Feed 2170 FM 423 Little Elm, TX 75068 (next to Starbucks)

June 27
Location – Alamo Drafthouse 100 S. Central Expwy Richardson, TX 75080

If you can’t make it to the adoption events, or you’re like me and live in a teeny tiny apartment, please consider donating to the charity, they need help now more than ever!
