Before anyone freaks out I need to preface this post by saying I’m not getting married. However, I am a bridesmaid in a wedding this weekend and so I volunteered myself to make the bride a wedding day emergency kit. For those who don’t know, people often put these together (or just buy pre-made ones) for the bride in case any little emergencies come up during the ceremony or reception.
Immediately I went to Pinterest for inspiration but I came back surprisingly uninspired. While there were some good ideas, most posts looked more like they were packing for a weekend getaway rather than making a small bag for emergencies.
Weddings are chaotic enough as it is. Theres no need to add extra baggage to the mix. So I set out to make a compact but comprehensive bag that’s small enough to fit in a purse.
I bought everything minus the safety pins and bobby pins from Target and I think I spent a little over $20 for everything. My little kit includes:
1. Hair spray
2. Bobby pins
3. Cottonelle flushable cleansing cloths
4. Dove deodorant
6. Tide to go pen
7. Emery boards
8. Safety pins
9. Cute case
10. Band aids
Other things I would consider adding include: nail polish, allergy medicine, and cotton swabs. The bride in this instance doesn’t need any of those things so I opted to not include them.
What would you include in your bridal emergency kit? If you’re married, did you end up using yours? Let me know in the comments below!
